Samsung Galaxy S4 teardown reveals easy to repair
In another few days Samsung Galaxy S4 will reach to you, but before that several tech enthusiasts have disassembled it and finds it is easy to tear it down and fix up, if anyone is so inclined.

According to a teardown site named iFixit Samsung Galaxy S4 is easiest to repair, and gives it repairability score of 8 out of 10. It adds that the device is held together by eleven screws.

Well, though all the component are standard Philips, but there are several smaller components in it which are put in place with the help of adhesive. More to this, the glass is fused with the display and its frame. This mean the glass will be expensive to replace it shatters.

Earlier, even TEchnoBuffalo said Samsung Galaxy S4 is easy to repair.

The inside is easy to repair but do remember that tinkering with the insides will void the warranty. So, you need to disassemble the device at your own risk.

Also, it does not make any sense for common buyers whether Samsung Galaxy S4 is easy to repair.

Samsung launches dual-SIM Galaxy S4 in China
The wait is over. It is now official. Samsung has launched dual-SIM Galaxy S4 in China. The device has Exynos 5 Octa inside.

Earlier it was leaked from several sources that the Korean giant will be coming with dual-SIM version of its next flagship smartphone. It was then also speculated the device to come with dual-core processor, but with the launch of single-SIM Galaxy S4 recently with 8-core processor the rumors were put to rest.

The specifications of dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy S4 are same as the single-SIM variant. This mean it runs on Android 4.2 operating system with TouchWiz magic, mounted with 13-megapixel rear camera and sports 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen.

As of now as the device has just been launched in China, it is not very clear whether Samsung will make it available worldwide.

It is also being rumored Samsung may come with dual-SIM version too of its Galaxy S4 Mini device.

Samsung’s Galaxy S4 faces supply chain problem

AT&T announces $199 price tag under contract for entry-level Galaxy S4
The Galaxy S4 has been in demand much more than expected, says Samsung not shouldering the blames of delay in the U.S. market.

Mobile carriers T-Mobile as well as Sprint have already announced the smartphone will go on sale later than what was expected earlier as shipments have been delayed from the stable of Samsung.

Meanwhile, Samsung has said they are expecting to fulfill the high demands in coming weeks.

T-Mobile has extended its online order placement date to April 29, which was supposed to take place on Wednesday, saying unexpected delay with inventory deliveries.

Sprint on the other hand has promised to start taking only online orders from April 27, Saturday. At its stores the device will go on sale only when it receives the inventories.

Verizon Wireless as of now does not have any plan to sell Samsung’s Galaxy S4. It said the sell will not happen until May 30.

Samsung unveiled its flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone in New York last month and attempts to increase its hold in the U.S. and also to better compete with Apple.

The wait is over. Verizon Wireless has announced they will start carrying Samsung’s next flagship smartphone Galaxy S4 this May. The carrier tweeted the information a while ago but didn’t mention about the exact date as to when the device will roll out on their network.

The tweet information is also accompanied with a picture of Galaxy S4 carrying a Verizon Wireless brand logo. well, the carrier also promised via the twitter account more details will soon be revealed.

Meanwhile, AT&T has also made an announcement of starting with the pre-orders for the S4 on April 30.

US Cellular started taking pre-orders of Galaxy S4 on April 16, Tuesday and T-Mobile earlier announced they will make available the device on May 1. It made the announcement during the Uncarrier event of it in New York in March while launching its LTE network in 7 more markets.

It is also noted AT&T will take pre-orders online via its website and shipping of the device will start on April 30.

Samsung has a phone for every consumer, from high-end to the budget offering. The Galaxy Ace series have been great success among budget phone segment with the outstanding performances of Galaxy Ace, Ace Plus and Ace 2 and now it looks the Korean giant is ready to unveil Galaxy Ace 3.

In a new leak by GLBenchmark’s servers, the Galaxy Ace 3 may come with pretty good specifications for budget version.

Few of the changes to be seen in Galaxy Ace 3 are as below:

NovaThor U8500 CPU replaced with processor from Broadcom.
Processor will be dual-core 1GHz.
To include Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus GPU.

However, in the leak there has been no information about the screen size of the phone but it is learned the display will have 800 x 480 pixel resolutions. Well, it will not sport 5-inch phablet type screen. Te best guess is between 4 and 4.5 inches display.

It is also rumored the Galaxy Ace 3 may be mounted with a 5-megapixel rear camera and the on-board memory may not be more than 4GB.

Samsung featuring Galaxy S4 with four cores instead of eight in U.S.

In next couple of weeks Galaxy S4 will reach U.S. mobile market from the stable of Samsung. It was earlier rumored the smartphone to be equipped with eight cores processor, but now we learn the flagship device to have four cores.

All the guesses went wrong with the new information that the Samsung Galaxy S4 to come with quad-core processor instead of octa-core chipset.

The device was announced last month in New York and it was learned in some regions S4 would be powered by 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series processor and in other regions by the Korean giant’s own 1.6GHz eight-core Exynos 5 Octa silicon.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 sports 5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED screen and runs on the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It is mounted with 13-megapixel rear camera.

In the U.S. the smartphone is to be carried by T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, C Spire and Cricket and will be sold through Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Sam’s Club, Staples, RadioShack and Costco.

Samsung is releasing three variants of the device based on on-board storage – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Each carrier and store will be announcing their own price structure. T-Mobile has already confirmed to sell with a down payment of $149.99 for the lowest priced model without contract.

Just follow the how-to page on the website of AT&T to do the OS upgradation on Skyrocket. Download the software via Samsung’s Kies and sync it with their mobile phone.

An AT&T blog says the updated Jelly Bean will offer several enhancements overs the predecessor. The notification screen can now organize update from the same apps and also users can be able to collapse or expand the screen by swiping up or down respectively. Google Now is directly accessible with the update.

A Locker app is also made available from AT&T’s Jelly Bean that will allow users to store files like photos and videos online.

Some of the exclusive Skyrocket features with this update include Smart Stay that tracks eye movement, Direct Call that changes message screen to calling one by just raising phone to ear and Pop Up Play that lets watching of videos while using another app.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo to hit UK stores mid-May

Samsung is releasing its awaited low-end Galaxy Pocket Neo phone next month in the UK market. The news comes officially from the Korean giant.

Last month the device was spotted in Africa and earlier this month it was unveiled for the global market alongside with another low-end phone with similar look – the Galaxy Star.

Before the launching of the feature phone it was assumed Samsung would only release Galaxy Pocket Neo in the emerging markets but latest news talks it will hit the UK shelves in mid-May.

It is learned the company is aiming to target the extremely young users with this phone in the UK market. In fact those users who will be first timers. Also, some analysts assume the phone may target those users too who wants inexpensive second phone or third phone.

Besides, Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy Star won’t be unveiled in the UK market.

Galaxy Pocket New sports 3-inch touchscreen with resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It is equipped with 2-megapixel camera and is powered by 850MHz single-core processor. It also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSDPA, GPS, 4GB on-board storage, 512MB of RAM, 1200 mAh battery and microSD card support. The device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 coming to U.S. stores tomorrow

After the release of Galaxy Note 8.0 in the UK market Samsung is now ready with the U.S. release. Tomorrow, April 11, the tablet is hitting the U.S. stores and as of now the suggested price is $400.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 will directly be made available from Samsung and big retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, Staples and Newegg are also learned to be keeping the stock for sale.

Accessories like the Book Covers, HDMI adapters, USB, travel charger etc will be made available from mid-April. The Book Covers will come in grey, white, green and pink.

The device will come preloaded with free content worth $200 scuh as one month unlimited Music Hub streaming and 50GB of Dropbox storage for two years. More to all these, a $25 Google Play voucher will also be given with the registration of Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet. The WatchON service of Samsung will be premiered on the device. The app acts as a digital TV guide.

If you are in the U.S. and owner of Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini then do update the device with the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The Korean giant has started rolling out with US Cellular.

In the U.S. the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini was released with a different name. On T-Mobile it is dubbed as Galaxy Exhibit and on U.S. Cellular networks the device is named as Galaxy Axiom. The update of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean started today via over-the-air notifications.

Check the settings for the update and then connect the device to Wi-Fi. Before that also make sure the battery is fully charged. Accept the prompt of latest Jelly Bean update and immediately the downloading will start. Once the downloading of the update is completed, the installation process will start.

The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will bring several enhancements such as buttery smoother user interface, better stock browser, Google Now, Calendar app, multitasking and widgets.

Do note that the update will not be bringing Samsung’s Premium Suite of apps.

Samsung had originally released Galaxy S3 Mini with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.

China is getting two new Android smartphones from the house of Samsung. It is getting the Galaxy Trend 2 and Galaxy Win, which was leaked just yesterday.

The Samsung Galaxy Trend 2 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It sports 4-inch WVGA display offering 233 ppi pixel density. The phone comes with 3-megapixel rear camera and is fueled by 1500 mAh battery. It supports Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity. However, it lacks GPS. It has dual-SIM version too.

Samsung Galaxy Win too runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile OS and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It sports 4.7-inch TFT screen providing WVGA resolution with 199 ppi pixel density. The phone is mounted with 5-megapixel camera at the rear side and on the front part it is equipped with 3-megapixel camera to facilitate video calling. It is fueled by 2000 mAh battery and supports Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS connectivity. Samsung is not bringing any dual-SIM version of Galaxy Win.
